POM-POMS WITH KIWICO

Updated: Sep 10, 2021

Kiwico ARCADE Crate Independent Review

Things we liked:

We love to open the crate and discover new materials and challenges!

Each crate box comes with a colorful and interesting new project, kid-friendly (and parent-friendly) instructions, and a magazine to experiment, play and learn.

This time we got the ARCADE Crate, to create pom-poms and a claw (and more..)

My 6 year’s old wanted to create the Pom-Pom first. The yarn was colorful and attractive, so we’ve started with the Pom-Pom friends right away.

We had a try with Pom poms before, using a homemade cardboard circle, but this time the making was much easier thanks to the Pom-Pom winder,

that allows you to wrap the yarn around the winder and then tie it easily.

The yarn is long enough to make two colorful and fun pom poms!

That was enough for us for the day, and we continued the next day with the claw.

The next day we had fun putting together the claw. The instructions are very clear and simple. If you feel like you need a hand, kiwico has a very informative site and videos you can use. Here is a link for their video tutorial: https://www.kiwico.com/kiwi/arcade

We really enjoyed the magazine!

The arcade magazine includes comics with Steve the kiwi, enriching information about arcade games, and additional suggestions for DIY projects that you can do with your kids in relevance with arcade games. So We turned our box into a claw box game and played together.

All together (creating Pom Poms for about half an hour, building claw for about an hour and a half) We had about 2 hours of a wonderful time, focusing together on a new challenge. We are definitely happy with our arcade box and waiting for the next!
